Foxcom Fiber Optic Solutions breaks a record at the 2010 Asian Games
Foxcom broke its own record this time by transmitting L-band and 70MHz IF
signals at a distance of 110km without amplifiers or repeaters along the way.
CNR Performances achieved by the system were above 41dB @ 36MHz BW.
Foxcom delivered 70 MHz uplink signals from the IBC in Panyu district
to China Telecom’s Guangdong Earth Station. L-band downlink signals
were transmitted back to the IBC for monitoring purposes. Foxcom’s
next generation Sat-Light /Platinum™ series was deployed with a super
high power laser in order to meet the stringent needs of the customer.
Foxcom along with its Chinese partner CT Technology are very excited
about this achievement, said CEO Jack Hotz. “ Foxcom has
demonstrated once again its ability to meet the needs of the customer
by delivering unprecedented performance under the most demanding of
conditions.
The Sat-Light /Platinum™ suite is based on breakthrough RF-to-fiber
technology. The suite is designed to meet today's increasing demands
for higher performance and more RF control and monitoring. The Sat-
Light Platinum ™ family includes products for L-Band, IF, Wideband and
a host of accessories, all of which are designed to meet increasing
demands for higher performance and more RF control and monitoring.
